Cheesy Sausage and Spinach Balls

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs. Jimmy Dean Sausage – Hot
  • 8 oz. sharp cheddar
  • 8 oz. frozen spinach
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose, gluten free flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Morton’s Season All
  • 1/2 cup milk
Directions

Combine flour, baking powder, and seasoned salt in a large bowl. Add sausage, shredded cheddar, and defrosted and drained spinach.

Using your hands (I glove up for this one) work the mixture, breaking up the spinach, until well combined.

Add 1/2 cup milk and work until it forms one giant ball.

Roll into golf ball sized balls. (I also use gloves for this…it’s sticky.) Place on a foiled and oiled cookie sheet. These don’t spread, so pack them on there!

Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. The bottoms should be a bit crispy and the center won’t be pink. Serve hot or cold.

Wine Pairing Suggestion

Coppola Rosso & Bianco Pinot Grigio

***Makes 50 golf ball sized balls.
